Pre – Arrival

 
Colwall village is served by bus (from Malvern and Ledbury) and by train (from Birmingham - via Worcester, Hereford and London Paddington). Marl Cottage is 0.6 miles (0.96km) from the centre of the village. The railway station is located a further 100 yards (90mtrs) from the village centre.
We can arrange transport to and from the station, either by ourselves or local taxi, as required.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
 
We are at the end of a cul-de-sac lane made mainly of hardcore and gravel with easy access for cars and light commercial vehicles. A flat, level, gravel drive exists to the front and side of the house allowing ample parking and turn around. The front of the house and car parking area are well lit.
Distance from the parking area to the front door is approximately 20 yards (18mtrs). There is a 6” (15cm) step up from the drive to the front patio area and a further 6” (15cm) step up to the front door.
We will assist guests with luggage as required.
Once registered, guests will have their own room and front door keys.

General
 
Marl Cottage is a recently restored building. The front door is standard 32” (81cm) wide. All main internal doors are standard 30” (76cm) wide. En-suite bathroom doors are standard 28” (71cm) wide. All floors are level and flat and wall to wall carpeted. There are no internal steps (except for access to shower cubicles). All bathroom fittings are standard, viz. bath height 19.5” (50cm), pedestal hand basin height 31.5” (80cm), toilet seat height 15.5” (40cm), shower tray height 10” (26cm).
Central heating radiators with thermostatically controlled valves in all rooms.
Smoke detectors fitted on both floors.

Main Entrance and Reception
 
The entrance hall measures 16ft (4.9mtr) by 10ft (3mtr) and provides access to the lounge and stairs to the first floor bedrooms. A passage, 39” (100cm) wide, gives access to the ground floor twin bedroom and the dining room. The stairs are standard 31.5” (80cm) wide x 8” (20cm) riser, with a 90 degree turn after the first step. The hall, stairs, (and landing) are always well lit.

Dining Room
 
The dining room is located on the ground floor at the end of a passage leading off from the hall.
The tables are arranged for individual bedrooms. The tables have a height of 29” (74cm) and underspace height of 27.5” (70cm) and chair seats are 17.5” (45cm) from the floor. There are two chairs with arms and six chairs without arms. Provisions are made for children. The furniture can be moved as required by request.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
 
Each bedroom contains:
Dressing table and stool.
Two bedside cabinets with table lamps.
Chest of drawers and wardrobes/hanging space.
Television, radio/alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge with fresh milk and water.
Complimentary tray.
Hair Drier.

Each bathroom contains:
Bath and/or shower, pedestal handbasin, close coupled toilet,
Mirror with light over, electric shaver point, extractor fan, towel rail, toilet roll holder and toilet brush.
Hospitality toiletries.

Bedroom 1 - First floor double bedroom with en-suite shower room.
 
Secure lockable door to the bedroom.
King size bed 60” (152cm) width x 78” (200cm) length x 23” (59cm) height.
En-suite shower room:
Shower cubicle 30” (75cm) wide x 30” (75cm) deep x 10” (26cm) step up.
Bi fold inward opening glass door 21” (53cm) wide opening.

Bedroom 2 - First floor suite suitable for family occupancy.
 
Secure lockable door to the suite.
Double bedroom: Double bed 54” (137cm) width x 75” (190cm) length x 24” (60cm) height.
Twin bedroom: Two full size single beds 36” (90cm) width x 75” (190cm) length x 24” (60cm) height.
Bathroom with lockable door:
Bath 59” (150cm) long x 27.5” (70cm) wide x 19.5” (50cm) high.
Shower cubicle. 30” (75cm) wide x 36” (90cm) deep x 10” (26cm) step up.
Hinged outward opening glass door 20” (50cm) wide opening.

Bedroom 3 - Ground floor twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
 
Secure lockable door to the bedroom.
Two full size single beds 36” (90cm) width x 75” (190cm) length x 24” (60cm) height. (These beds can be linked together to form a “Super King” size bed 72” (180cm) width x 75” (190cm) length x 24” (60cm) height).
Bathroom with bath and shower curtain:
Bath 54” (137cm) long x 30.5” (78cm) wide x 19.5” (50cm) high.

Garden
 
The front area is mainly gravel with a small raised patio area. There is a table and two chairs.
The rear garden is laid mainly to lawn. It is level and undulating without steps. There is a large patio area with table and chairs.
The woodland and small pond area has pathways and steps with additional seating areas.
